UPDATE: Mazinger Z anime film is set to release in the Philippines this April 18.
If you grew up watching television in the 80’s, then you would remember seeing super robots fight each other in the anime series Mazinger Z.
This year, as part of the Mazinger franchise’s 45th anniversary, the movie Mazinger Z: Infinity will be released in theaters. SM Cinema confirmed last week that they will screen the anime movie for its Filipino fans.
Mazinger Z: Infinity takes place 10 years after the events of the original series. The movie was released in Japan earlier this year. SM Cinema hasn’t announced exactly when the movie will screen in the local theaters, but it will definitely be this month of February.
In Mazinger Z: Infinity, Koji Kabuto, pilot of the legendary super robot, is drawn into battle once more after the villain Dr. Hell returns to attack Earth.
