The whole Star Wars franchise was created by filmmaker (writer, director, producer) George Lucas. His epic space opera which was first released back in 1977 became a cultural phenomenon and has huge cultural impact which ranges from politics to science.

Back in 2012, Lucas departed from the franchise but that doesn’t mean he has no interest in the galaxy he created. According to sources close to Lucas, his response to the latest Star Wars film is that it was "beautifully made."

Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi ,which we will be having a screening of this Saturday (December 16) at Robinsons Movieworld Galleria, is directed by Rian Johnson, the person behind Looper and a few episodes of Breaking Bad.

A representative of Lucas also revealed that the creator spoke with Johnson after the movie and their conversation was “complimentary”.
