Yesterday, the 45th American Music Awards (AMA’s) was held at Los Angeles, California. There were a lot of performers during the event including Kelly Clarkson and Pink, who both did a duet to the REM song Everybody Hurts. The K-Pop group BTS also made its appearance on the show. Diana Ross, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award, performed a medley of her hits. And Christina Aguilera made a tribute to the late Whitney Houston.
Another performance worth talking about was Selena Gomez’ return to the stage after months recovering from lupus and a kidney transplant. The performance is worth talking about, not because the 25-year old singer returned with grace, but because some viewers on social media were unimpressed with her set. Viewers accused her of lip-syncing and Gomez even ended her performance by shrugging and saying “thank you” to fans. See below.
