The famous bachelor will reportedly be buried next to Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe at the Westwood Village Memorial in Los Angeles. Hefner famously bought the crypt next to Monroe’s for a reported $75,000 in 1992 - nearly four decades after he featured the Hollywood icon on the cover of Playboy's first-ever issue in 1953.
The issue, which sold 50,000 copies, catapulted the magazine to success after Hefner started it in his kitchen with an $8,000 loan.
This could be the reason why he will be buried next to her grave as well. Marilyn Monroe died in 1962 at the age of 36. She died of alleged drug overdose.
