Rihanna has launched a new campaign to help girls in the African country of Malawi get the education they deserve. With Clara Lionel Foundation, named after Rihanna’s grandparents, Rihanna and other volunteers can help raise funds for education and health programs for impoverished communities around the world.
The singer’s latest program sees bike-sharing company ofo partner with CLF to help fund its Global Scholarship Program. Bikes will be donated to scholarship recipients in Malawi to help them get to school safely.
In a press release, Rihanna said: “I’m so happy about the Clara Lionel Foundation’s new partnership with ofo because it will help so many young people around the world receive a quality education, and also help the young girls of Malawi get to school safely, cutting down those very long walks they make to and from school all alone.”
