The classic Christmas/Halloween crossover Nightmare Before Christmas is set to get a comic book sequel next year, 25 years after its debut on screen.
Tim Burton’s animated classic was released back in 1993, before going on to become something of a cult classic. Now the sequel of sorts for the story (which will be titled The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero’s Journey) will be in the works and is set for release in 2018.
The story will expand beyond that of the original movie and will follow protagonist Jack Skellington’s ghost dog Zero on an adventure around Christmas Town.
