Jose Feliciano performed a debatable cover of Every Breath You Take in front of The Police frontman.
This week, Sting, the frontman and main songwriter for the 80’s new wave band The Police, has been honored at Sweden in the prestigious Polar Music Prize. During the ceremony, a few musicians paid tribute to the rocker by performing several of his hits. One of those musicians was Jose Feliciano who did a debatable rendition of Every Breath You Take.
Feliciano, the Puerto Rican guitar player and singer famous for Feliz Navidad, performed alongside Serbian singer Jelena Krstic in front of Sting and a few hundred more in the crowd. The netizens may have commented on Feliciano’s poor cover but Sting’s reaction says it all. Watch below.
