Eminem’s StanImage Source:i.ytimg.com

Dear slim, what do you mean?

Eminem proved there are plenty of words that rhyme with ‘orange’. Now, the rap god has contributed another feat in the English lexicon. Buzzfeed reports that the word "stan" (a reference in the 2000 Eminem track,” Stan”) is now officially a part of the Oxford English dictionary's database, meaning that Eminem can now add "inventor" to his list of accomplishments!

The definition of 'Stan', according to the latest edition of the Oxford English dictionary, is an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity.

The dictionary also lists the origin of the word as "Early 21st century: probably with allusion to the 2000 song 'Stan' by the American rapper Eminem, about an obsessed fan."

Eminem's "Stan" now joins words like "cray", "YOLO", and "Bootylicious", which were previously featured in songs by Kanye West, Drake, and Beyonce, respectively.
