He received Top Artist (out of ten other contenders which included Beyonce and Justin Bieber), Top Male Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album (for Views), Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Streaming Song (for Once Dance), Top R&B Song, Top R&B Collaboration, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Album and Top Rap Tour.

For his acceptance speech, the rapper said, "Life is like toilet paper. Either you're on a roll, or taking sh-t from assholes."

Meanwhile Zayn Malik won Top New Artist beating out Alessia Cara and Lukas Graham. Beyonce won Top Female Artist and Twenty One Pilots won the Top Duo/Group award.
