Josh Gad presents a guide to Beauty and the Beast movie

Actor Josh Gad presents a guide to convince men to watch the new Beauty and the Beast movie.

In an interview with USA Today, Josh Gad the actor who plays Gaston’s sidekick, LeFou in the new live-action adaptation of the Beauty and The Beast, presents a guide to convince men, tough and soft, to see the new Disney movie.

Gad, who is a father of two, says that when he was ten years old, he couldn’t help but fall in love with the 1991 Beauty and the Beast.

He revealed that even with all the dresses, the waltzing, and the princess fantasy story, “macho guys who are coerced by the girlfriends to see the movie” will enjoy it. He’s given reasons why, and here they are;

“Belle is an ideal woman”

Gad’s argument is that Belle is more than just a typical princess, she’s a role model, children and men should love to adore. “She is fiercely independent and unbelievably intelligent — her superpower is that she reads nonstop,” Gad says. “And she is the hero! She saves the Beast not once but multiple times.” No what man doesn’t fall in love with that?

“The Beast is a joy to watch”

Whether you’re confident about your looks or not, any man can relate to the Beast. Gad says that what’s great about the Beast is that when she meets Belle, he becomes entertaining to watch as he lets his guard down. Every guy can relate at least a little to the brusque transformed prince.

“Gaston and LeFou are a hoot”

Even though some guys have girlfriends, they still won’t overlook their best mate who is always around.

The word “bromance” gets thrown around a lot when discussing the buff and boisterous bully Gaston (played by Luke Evans in the movie) and his loyal sidekick LeFou, and their relationship is relatable and often hilarious. Any great friendship can relate.

“The lonely-hearts guys get a song”

Evermore is a new song written specifically for 2017’s Beauty and the Beast. Gad says the original tune belongs comfortably side by side with classics like Be Our Guest and Beauty and the Beast. The song will be used in the movie after the Beast frees Belle to save her father from angry villagers. In the movie Beast goes to the top of a tower and belts his feelings about his love: “Now I know she'll never leave me, even as she runs away.” Doesn’t any guy relate?
