The Beauty and the Beast actress is currently under criticism for her recent photo shoot.
Emma Watson hit back at critics who said she betrayed her feminist ideals by posing for a revealing picture for Vanity Fair magazine where parts of her breasts were exposed.
The Harry Potter actress and pioneer of the HeForShe campaign to make men advocate for feminism, talked about the photo shoot for the magazine while promoting her latest film, the Disney live action "Beauty and the Beast", which Y101 will be giving free tickets of for the special screening this March 16 at the Robinsons Galleria Movieworld.
Posing in a see-through top, some commentators – which included one thinkpiece in The Independent claimed Watson wouldn’t have “known herself” if she had posed “topless because of the patriarchy or despite it” – criticised the attire she wore during the shoot.
Watson has now hit back at those who criticised the Vanity Fair photographs, saying “feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with.”
