Who doesn’t like a Basketball-themed song; Joey Badas$$ will perform the song on the NBA All-Star Weekend.
Joey Bada$$ is a Brooklyn rapper who just unleashes a series of basketball-themed boasts on new single "Victory" – from laying down "triple-doubles" to calling himself a human "highlight reel."
Victory is backed by 90’s beats laced with snapping drums and blasting brass samples. The rapper even talks defensive strategy in the song, "I'm in a lane of my own / 2/3 when I get in the zone."
The rap song is part of Mountain Dew's new Courtside Project, which unites figures from basketball, music, style and art. "[These disciplines] are interconnected," the rapper told Billboard. "I always want to encourage the youth to be themselves and pursue their dreams, whether those are hoop dreams, Grammy dreams, or PhD dreams."
