Donald Trump’s Inauguration

Barack Obama had legendary acts like Beyonce, Aretha Franklin, and Bruce Springsteen among others play at his inauguration concert. Who will be playing at Donald Trump’s?

Inauguration concerts for U.S. presidents are among the best gathering of talented and legendary artists, all coming together in support of the president they voted for. During President Barack Obama’s inauguration concert in 2009, legendary acts such as U2, Stevie Wonder, Josh Groban, John Legend, Mary J Blige and others more performed. During his second inaugural concert, Katy Perry, Usher, Kelly Clarkson, James Taylor and more performed.

Barack Obama was a popular president, so it was no surprise that a lot of musicians want to perform for his concert. But his time is almost up and he has to hand over his position to the incoming President Donald Trump, who proved to be a really unpopular person.

Most of the music world has expressed their dislike for Trump that’s why it was hard to find a well-known musician to come and perform for his inauguration concert next week. Trump’s people asked a lot of great artists to perform but they all declined. Some of these artists included Elton John, Jennifer Holiday, and even Motley Crue.

However, Trump’s people still managed to get some acts though, and they had to be paid a fee. (Artists who performed for Obama didn’t ask to get paid to perform). Here are the musical acts that will play at President Donald Trump’s inauguration concert titled, Make America Great.

She stated that the Choir is "endorsing tyranny and fascism by singing for this man". More than 35,000 people have signed an online petition disagreeing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's decision to perform at the inauguration. According to the organizer of the campaign, most of the signatures are from members of the LDS church.
