Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are caught getting cozy with each other, igniting rumors that there might be a new power couple this 2017.
The singers were spotted on Tuesday night outside Italian restaurant Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California. Photos surfaced on TMZ of Gomez wrapping her arms around The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) as well as one shot that shows the pair kissing.
The pictures of Gomez and Tesfaye immediately sparked couple rumors, and a source tells Billboard, they are indeed an item.
The Weeknd ended his year-and-a-half-long relationship with model Bella Hadid in November, and Gomez hasn't publicly dated since her relationship with Justin Bieber ended. Gomez is seemingly still on a personal break from music to manage her lupus disease, while The Weeknd is set to kick off his headlining world tour next month.
Side note: The Weeknd’s ex girlfriend Bella Hadid is good friends with Selena’s bff, Taylor Swift. That is an interesting connection to think about.
