Gorillaz’ Murdoc Niccals shares a ‘Dirty Santa Party’ Playlist

The cartoon bassist has uploaded a festive selection to Spotify

Gorillaz bassist Murdoc has uploaded a new playlist to Spotify – entitled ‘Dirty Santa Party’ – just in time for the holiday season!

The cartoon member of the Damon Albarn-created virtual band has posted a collection of “fresh” Christmas-themed songs, imploring listeners to “enjoy irresponsibly.”

The ‘Dirty Santa Party’ features fairly-unknown Christmas songs by the likes of AC/DC, Snoop Dogg, George Harrison and Tom Waits, as well as traditional seasonal pop favorites by Wizzard, Slade, and The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl.

The playlist opens with an electrifying Christmas song from the band from down under (AC/DC) then hilariously transitions to a bouncing 80s Christmas track from Shakin’ Stevens. The playlist also include Eric Idle’s Fuck Christmas. If you don’t know, Eric Idle is a comedian part of the comedy group Monty Python. The 11-track playlist ends with Ricky Tomlinson’s “Christmas My Arse!”.

The playlist really does sound like what Murdoc would love.
