People don’t even know half the details for Star Wars 8 yet, and now work for Star Wars 9 is already set for motion.
Filming for Star Wars: Episode 9 could start sooner than expected, according to a new report that claims that production on the film could begin as soon as April 2017.
It is also rumored to be filmed at Buckinghamshire’s Pinewood Studios in the UK. Last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, this December’s Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and next year’s Star Wars: Episode 8 were all shot there.
On Location Vacations also suggests that Episode 9 will be released on May 23, 2019, but that date could be changed to a December 2019 release to match up with the other Star Wars films always released in December.
Movieweb points out, though, that the second Star Wars spin-off, Han Solo: A Star Wars Story, will be released on May 25, 2018 – the 41st anniversary of the first film in the franchise, Episode 4: A New Hope, first relesed in 1977.
However, neither Disney nor LucasFilm have confirmed when Episode 9 will begin filming or when it will be released.
