2016 12 8 star wars hands ent main

Haven’t seen Star Wars yet? Here’s a handy shortcut.

We’ve found something to keep you entertained for at least a little while.

Some of the franchise’s most iconic scenes have been recreated heaps of times with various different items – everything from wool to lego and even cats, basically. But how about hands? Yep, apparently back in 1990, while there hadn’t been a Star Wars film released for seven years (the last movie up to that time was 1983’s Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, of course), some fans got together and recreated some scenes using just what was on the end of their arms.

It was filmed on Super 8 and directed by Itami Rose, and some commenters have been reminiscing over watching it way back in ’99. It might take you a couple of views to get your head around it, but, once you do, it’s pretty impressive stuff.

Watch out for these extra neat things: when they use a Vulcan hand sign for the Falcon and the brilliant way they show the Death Star exploding right at the end.
