According to NBC News, who cite “multiple authorities familiar with the case,” Kanye was under observation at a Los Angeles hospital. One of NBC’s sources said that Los Angeles police responded to a medical welfare call, and Ye was hospitalized “for his own health and safety.”
The rapper was reportedly taken to the UCLA Medical Center for psychiatric evaluation in an ambulance, and according to TMZ.
Kanye has recently abruptly cancelled his concert tour, saying he was “exhausted” from working on his fashion line and touring.
The Saint Pablo shows had recently been marred by bizarre rants from the rapper, including his controversial statements onstage about how he "would have voted for Donald Trump" in the presidential election. He cut off his last show early after sharing some harsh words for Jay Z, Beyoncé, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and others.
