In October 2007, fresh from her X Factor win, Leona Lewis released a song called Bleeding Love. It was written by Jesse McCartney (of the Beautiful Soul fame) and Ryan Tedder (of OneRepublic fame). The song was released in Leona’s debut album Spirit. The single rose to the top of many pop charts and it became the best-selling single of 2007 in the United Kingdom, and best-selling single of 2008 worldwide! It reached number one in 35 countries! A feat you can’t beat!

It was named the 17th most successful song in the US from 2000–2009, on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs of the Decade. It was nominated for Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 51st Grammy Awards. At the 2008 Brit Awards it was nominated for Best British Single. It is Leona’s biggest hit to date, and is her only single to reach the top ten in international charts.

It kinda makes us wonder where she is now. She is still making music, albeit in moderate success in her home country the UK.
