Viewers of a UK morning show were left in shock when a 19-year old guest revealed he had spent tens of thousands of benefits money on surgery to make him look like David Beckham.
A 19-year-old man named Jack Johnson, but looks like Jonah Hill, wants to look like David Beckham. He guest starred in the UK morning show This Morning and revealed to the audience and hosts Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that his lack of confidence had left him wanting to look more like his 41-year old idol. The TV audience and the hosts were gobsmacked and concerned.
On the show Jack told the British hosts, that he wanted to be exactly like footballer David Beckham. ‘I love his lifestyle, I love the way he looks. If I look like him I feel much better about myself inside.’
Jack also explained he has been refused a gastric band (or a surgical treatment for obesity) by the National Health Service as doctors deemed him ‘not big enough’ and added: I’ve had problems all my life with weight, I’ve tried every exercise and diet.’
Noting his appearance, the host asked the teen: ‘Isn’t it going to make you sadder that you don’t look like David Beckham and your £19,000 in dept.’
Jack has already invested £19,000 , which is roughly Php1,256,542 assuming current exchange rates, into obtaining the Beckham look. Problem is, he isn't anywhere close to getting there, so he's planning on spending nearly $40,000 more.
Although the hosts seemed like discouraging Jack to do it, Jack still vowed his efforts to look like the sporting hero are far from over.
