The Police rocker shows humor in embarrassing exchange.
Sting and Jimmy Fallon took turns singing "embarrassing first text exchanges between guys and girls" on The Tonight Show. The show’s bandleader The Roots conjured a soft soundscape of piano and guitar while Fallon sat near flickering candles. With Sting crooning in the guest seat, the segment took on some of the goofy sensual qualities of another popular Tonight Show skit, "Slow Jam the News."
Fallon couldn't stop laughing, as usual, as soon as Sting began singing. The former Police rocker got more into it as the segment progressed, eventually roaring, showing off his legendary vocal power.
The two men end by updating the Police song Message in a Bottle for modern viewers, changing the chorus of the famous song from "sending out an SOS" to "sending out an LOL."
