The Chainsmokers' 'Closer' Covered by Walk Off the Earth

There are a lot covers on YouTube of the EDM hit Closer by the duo The Chainsmokers but this one cover is The Chainsmokers’ most favorite.

Walk Off The Earth has continued to put out super cool, creative, unique cover videos. They used an instrument called a harpejji on their cover of The Weeknd’s Can’t Feel My Face, PVC pipes and loop effects on Cheerleader, and featured a literal giant guitar on their cover of Rude. Five of them even shared one acoustic guitar and covered Gotye’s Somebody That I Used to Know.

Last year, the band put out a cover of Adele’s Hello, featuring musical instruments called boomwhackers; lightweight, hollow, color-coded, plastic tubes, tuned to musical pitches by length.

The most recent Walk Off The Earth cover just killed original Chainsmokers' Closer, and it doesn't hurt that the video is filmed in a super-cool way, either.

Watch as the quintet finds more-than-perfect harmonies, and deliver what is hands down the dopest kazoo chorus you've ever heard. The fun start-stop animation at the chorus is on point, but that Inception-like painting at the end? That's just weird.
