A new Doctor Strange teaser trailer linking the character to The Avengers has surfaced online.
The one minute clip sees Tilda Swinton's character The Ancient One explaining the connection of Doctor Strange to the Avengers canon.
"We harness energy and shape reality," she tells Doctor Strange played by Benedict Cumberbatch, before the character Wong explains: "The Avengers protect the world from physical dangers. We safeguard it against more mystical threats." You can watch the trailer below.
Doctor Strange is also expected to play a significant role in the forthcoming Avengers: Infinity War movie to be released some time next year.
Cumberbatch stars as Doctor Stephen Strange, a neurosurgeon who "discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions" following a serious car accident. Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Deliver Us From Evil) is directing the film with a script by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus).
Doctor Strange will play in Philippine theaters on October 26, 2016.
