Katy Perry Answers a Rude Troll on Twitter

Katy Perry claps back at a rude fan by hinting on a possible 2017 tour.

Twitter’s most followed user may be a self-proclaimed “light,” but that doesn’t mean she’s incapable of throwing some light shade when the situation calls for it.

After a Twitter hater/troll/pressed fan told the pop star that her 2016 summer Olympics anthem Rise “flopped” and that her career in music was “over,” Perry clapped back with a smooch emoji and a promise that she would see the snarky user at her show next year.

So, does this mean a new Katy Perry tour could be coming in 2017? More pressingly: Does this mean we’ll be getting a new album soon?

Lately Katy has been recording her upcoming fifth album, which could be out later this year, according to her manager Steven Jensen. In an interview with Mashable last month, though, Katy made it seem like the record was still at its infancy. “It’s too soon to define it,” she said of its sound. “I want to let the music define itself when it comes out.”
