Buzz of the Day: Frank Ocean Disappoints Fans Once Again
Every music fan waited for the much awaited release of Boys Don’t Cry last Friday, but nothing came out. Fans are getting really impatient and a new clue reveals that it won’t be released until November.
In the timeline of false reports, promises, and broken promises, Frank Ocean’s much anticipated follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut Channel Orange will eventually and surely exist. Maybe not today, or tomorrow, or even a week ago as they promised, but eventually, in the future – near or far away.
The singer’s second studio album, titled Boys Don’t Cry, was expected to drop last week, four long painful years after Channel Orange. Keep in mind though, Ocean never said anything himself about the album coming out Friday. It was a New York Times report that quoted an anonymous source with knowledge of the details of the Apple Music release.
The expected date had fans eagerly awaiting the album’s long overdue release, but yet again, they all got stood up. Everyone was disappointed. Everybody felt hurt, but Frank Ocean is just like a disappointing dad, that no matter how much he let you down, you still love him nonetheless.
Hope still remains. There’s still some months left in 2016, and he did “promise” it will come out this year. (Like he promised it will come out last year). Remember, the library card Frank Ocean posted on his blog? There’s a date stamped there that hasn’t arrived yet. “November 13, 2016”. Maybe that was it all along, and we were just ignorantly anxious that we didn’t notice it.
However, it’s safe not to expect at all. Frank Ocean fans should have learned by then not to get their hopes up. Being betrayed is a disappointing thing, but being betrayed by the person you love, is much more hurtful. And fans all over the net share my sentiments. Check out their tweets about being let down by Frank.

As much as we’d like to agree with this, let’s just hope that Boys Don’t Cry won’t be released until 2020!
I hope when Frank Ocean wins his Grammy in 2020 for album of the year they take 6 years to mail it

This guy knows what he’s talking about.
Frank Ocean is the biggest piece of shit. He's like that divorced father that promises to see his kids soon and never does.
