In the wake of the tragedy that is the bombing of the Istanbul Airport, Cher tweeted her support for the victims of the incident and added a poorly placed bomb emoji.

41 people got killed and 239 were wounded in the tragedy. Cher tweeted “WE ALL PRAY FOR INNOCENT PPL IN TURKEY AIRPORT” along with a bomb emoji and an explosion emoji.

The singer’s Twitter followers were appalled about Cher’s “insensitivity” of the situation. Followers thought that using the bomb emoji was uncalled for and Cher received much backlash for her emoji choices.
