The Beatles re-releases their compilation album 1 to include restored music videos, rare footages and classic TV appearances.

In 2000, The Beatles released a compilation album that features virtually every number-one single the band achieved in the United Kingdom and United States. The Beatles has the most number one singles on The Billboard Hot 100. Combine their hits they had in the UK, the band has amassed an impressive 27 number one songs.

By 2009, the original album has sold 31 million copies worldwide. Even in 2015, about 1,000 copies are sold each week.

The Beatles has always been credited as the forerunners to inventing music videos. In 1965, The Beatles began making promotional clips for distribution and broadcast. This was done so to promote the band's record release and that they won't have to make in-person appearances in televisions anymore.

With 27 number-one songs, the rerelease of 1 is accompanied with 27 music videos for each of the songs. This time they are digitally restored in high quality. The album also include 23 additional videos that feature classic TV appearances and rarely seen footage.

A team of 18 video technicians and restoration artists were commissioned to clean each frame of film and digitally enhance the color and quality of the video clips. They took months of dedication to accomplish such a great task.

The rereleased album also feature re-mastered sound remixed by Giles Martin, who is the son of The Beatles producer George Martin. The pair has received two Grammy Awards on their work on The Beatles remix album Love in 2006.

The reissue is also available in a variety of configurations including single disk-CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray versions.
