Aloguinsan is a beautiful place to escapeImage Source: platinumlist.net

A few weeks ago, I traveled to Aloguinsan by myself just to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. I traveled at least two hours there and found out that it was a perfect place to relax. It’s a quiet little coastal town far away from the traffic noise and the busy intersections of Cebu City. In Aloguinsan, there are scenic beaches, lush forests, and friendly locals. People have called it the “Tropical Town, Jewel in the Midwest, My Place in the Sun and Ecotourism Capital of Cebu” and now I know why.

In September of 2016, Green Destination, an online organization endorsed by the United Nations World Tourism Organization, National Geographic and the World Wildlife Fund, recognized the municipality of Aloguinsan, as one of the 100 sustainable tourism destinations around the world.

Green Destination found potential in the 1.4 kilometer Bojo River of Aloguinsan to be a great tourist spot that will help boost tourism and development of the town. In the Bojo River, you can find a beautiful panoramic view of the river and the Tanon Strait. You will also encounter plenty of birds whose voices will help you calm down.

Other spots in Aloguinsan that will help you calm down are Hermit’s Cove and Hidden Beach. These must-visit secluded white sand beaches are perfect places to escape. You will surely have a nice break if you visit Aloguinsan.

Happy place ?
