She started rescuing animals at a very young age. Meet Annalyn Aizpuru, the rescue hero!
A beautiful lady from Bacolod, Annalyn is here in Cebu because of her Job and we are all happy to have her. If it weren’t for her, we would not be having Puspin adoption days as grand as the Puspin-Aspin Adoption Day which was held last November 29-30 at Parkmall. Not only that, she was the first ever person to make a Cat Fashion Show in Cebu possible!
Puspin Day and the Cat Fashion Show started last year, May 25 2013 with the hope of letting people appreciate our own cats. “Given the chance, care and love, our puspins will prove to be a very good quality and loving cat. “ Annalyn said. True, I have seen the cats up for adoption and they looked very healthy and big- some were even bigger than the Persian breed.
This is “Sab”. He is a male Puspin and just one of the cats up for adoption. He is about to go to his new furrever home.
The event was supposed to be only for cats but there were too many puppies that need to be adopted too hence making it a Puspin-Aspin adoption day.

Her inspirations were the events held by CARA and knew that she could do the same and spread awareness to people that it is not only the cats with breed which are beautiful but also our own cats. “We have that kind of mentality where cats like the Siamese and Persians are considered beautiful compared to our puspins when in fact the Siamese is a very common cat in Thailand, long-haired cats are just roaming around foreign countries” Annalyn Added.
Did you know that she is the president of Island Rescue Organization (IRO)? Annalyn, despite her busy schedule, roams around the streets of Panagdait and Mabolo after her work in order to feed strays!

In the future, Annalyn hopes that IRO will soon have a permanent animal shelter and also build a cat sanctuary.
Annalyn wants to tell everyone to rescue or adopt instead of buying pets.
