This tiny rainbow dessert is located in the island of Mauritius.
This is the Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth, it is a tiny rainbow dessert in the middle of the jungle on an island off the coast of Madagascar, Africa.
The seven colored earth is a natural phenomenon and a prominent tourist attraction. The colors evolved through conversion of basaltic lava to clay minerals. Even more curious, when you disturb the sand, it eventually sorts itself back together according to color.
The Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth is a relatively small area of sand dunes comprising sand of seven distinct colours (approximately red, brown, violet, green, blue, purple and yellow)
Isn’t that neat?
