Observing the 14th anniversary of one of the most tragic, if not the most heartbreaking disasters of all times, Bootleg Gold goes back in time to pay tribute to the victims of the September 11, 2001 incident, better known as 9/11.

Martha T and Marko bring you memories of the three greatest benefit concerts that were produced by actors and musicians to honor the fallen immediately after the event – the telethon, America: A Tribute to Heroes held on September 21, 2001 and the two concerts almost simultaneously performed on October 20 and October 21 of the same year: first in New York at the Madison Square Garden, the Concert for New York organized by Paul McCartney and next in Washington United We Stand, What More Can I Give orchestrated by Michael Jackson.

What to expect this evening on this week’s Featured Artist session?

Nothing better than to listen to the music of iconic legends that participated in these unprecedented gigs as they huddled from all parts of the world for one humongous charity movement! Among those, await some of The Who classics, tracks from David Bowie, John Cougar Mellancamp, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Eddie Vedder, Dave Matthews, Goo Goo Dolls and so much more, all in studio versions and the actual live cuts from their performances.

Join us in remembering only on Bootleg Gold’s Tribute to 9/11. It happens on your only rock experience from 6PM – 8PM on Y101 Always First!
